Vi gets the tattoos because of the enforcer join not Maddie. She doesn’t even found out about Maddie til cait is out of the academy and they have a proper talk and decide to be friends again.

Around the time of vi dating gert. Caitlyn would avoid vi (and in consequence powder, mylo, claggor and ekko) as much as she can. She can’t see vi pick someone else…. Yes it’s hypocritical and powder goes to piltover and to her house and calls her out on it cause Caitlyn literally had a girlfriend and now she has so many one night stands but she gets jealous of vi gf?!

And probably this is when cait just tells powder that she loves vi and powder is like”???? Duh 🙄”

Anyways… Caitlyn has flings with woman to try to fill that hole in her heart. She thinks vi would never even entertain the idea of being with her as more than friends after she joined the enforcers. She think she lost that chance and seeing vi with a gf is making her crash out.
