They're found footage so I'm sure you've seen then: Opinions on the V/H/S movies? I watched the first one today and am in the process of watching the second one and Viral. The first one I thought was Real Good. Second one I'm noticing is more of a gore-fest than a spook-fest, but it's still a lil spooky. Viral looks like it's gonna be straight trash though. I'm really interested in hearing what you think of them, if you've seen them o:

I’ve seen “V/H/S” and “V/H/S 2″. I thought both were good but not great, though the first one was definitely better and more memorable. In my opinion, the highlight of the first was the “I Like You” hotel story, which was later made into a full-length movie (the video chat story and the Halloween Party story were also great). I thought the highlight of the second was the alien abduction story (“A Ride in the Park” also gets major creativity points; fun fact: the guy who wrote that one was the co-writer and co-director of “The Blair Witch Project,” and has done a few other found footage horror films). I heard “V/H/S Viral” was pretty bad, so I haven’t seen it; if you end up seeing it, let me know if I’ve heard wrong!

Overall, I’m just happy to see someone decided to use the found footage horror genre for anthologies, as the genre is perfect for that storytelling format.
