This is a horrible and unexpected notification to make, but for those who knew and did not know, Tadashi - he was a champion dog… Mixed with the regal blood of the Japanese Shiba Inu and the African Basenji… My little hero ascended to the Heavens this day… Peace Be Upon You, My Son… Tadashi Yasuke Gutierrez… The First Guardian and my beloved family and friend. May The Heavens & The Universe and our ancestors welcome you with Eve, Ngomane, Hannibal, Sweetpea, Smokey, Chacho and Cha Cha… All of our family dogs who have come and gone before you. Tadashi’s spirit was the MOST courageous, adventurous and adamant that I have ever encountered and he, like Ngomane had the AMAZING ability to make mean dogs, become nice and friendly… He was my second Ambassador of Friendship & Fun and demanded attention and respect… He would not eat unless acknowledged and knew when he was in the right or in the wrong. This remarkable boy, I met on a late December night in 2012 when he was barely bigger than my hand… He was with his cream-blonde-colored sister and I’ll ALWAYS remember how much they loved each other as tiny puppies because they expressed the most unforgettable cries I could ever imagine when I adopted him and they became separated… I always attempted to locate his sister so they could meet again - but was never able to execute this mission. He was raised by our Momma Dog, Eve who lived to he 17.5 years old and he helped to raise his little sister, Nandi as a big brother she admired, looked up to, wrestled with and followed. I do not see myself as above or better or dominant over ANY animal - this is not how I observe, experience and live in nature and on this planet.
