Until you met Choi San you didn’t know how thrilling it was to run from the law.
Or what it was like to soar down the open highway in a sports car over 120 mp/h. Coincidentally that was why you were being chased by the cops at that exact moment, but you didn’t really care. You hadn’t felt like you did in that moment ever. This whole other side of the law thing was exciting to you,
As you rounded a tight corner, you skidded, and pushed off the wall to keep your momentum going. In the process you almost body slammed into San who was running a bit ahead of you.You laughed, picking up speed as you felt a burning in your arms and legs. Ahead of you, you saw that if you crossed over two more streets, it would lead you dead center into the middle of the market. Dangerous open territory.
San ran surged past you and dodged right quickly. You put o the brakes, nearly falling over and pivoted on one foot in order to turn and follow him. Before the cops could turn the same corner, San darted into a very tiny alley, but not before he grabbed your arm and yanked you in with him. The alley was dark and all you could hear was yours and San’s heavy breathing from running so far. You freeze and hold your breath as the cops run by the small alley, still in pursuit of the two of you.
You start to quietly giggle, the adrenaline and hype of the moment getting to you. San brings a finger to his lips, trying to tell you to shut up, but he was trying to hold back a laugh of his own. As the both of you became quiet, you became very aware of how little space there was in the alley, and how your body was basically pressed up against his. With every breath he took, you could feel his chest brushing up against yours.
Looking up you see that San still holds a finger to his lips as he listens for any signs of the cops still lingering in the area. When he doesn’t hear anything, he looks back down at you, and how your staring at his lips. Consciously, maybe self-consciously, his eyes land on your own lips.
“I think the coast is clear,” he says quietly, head dipping down closer to yours, “we could leave now.”
You lick your lips, watching his eyes follow the movement of your tongue, “Yeah, we could.”
Once again you’re aware of the way his chest brushes up against yours. You make no move to leave the cramped alley, as you take in the unusually fresh air, and focus on the sound of his breathing. He makes no move to leave either. You wouldn’t have noticed him moving closer, if it weren’t for the feeling of his breath on your skin.
He looked up at the sky, which was dark and smirked. His arm rested above your head on the wall of the alley as he was mere centimeters away from your face.
“It’s going to rain,” he whispered, eyes flickering between your lips and your eyes.
You frowned at him in confusion, “What?”
he surged forward, connecting his lips to yours in a searing kiss. You struggled to return it as he pressed your body into the wall of the alley. Too focused on the sweet taste of his lips, you almost didn’t notice the warm summer rain starting to fall. Wrapping your arms around San’s neck, you let the rain pour down.
You didn't know what made your heart pound more: running from the cops, or kissing Choi San.
