[sits in the hallway leaning against the wall, head between his bent knees as he tries to calm his heartbeat and his breathing down from near-panic status after the nightmare he'd just had. His SHIELD babysitter is at the other end of the hall looking apprehensive but giving Barnes his space. Barnes doesn't look up when he hears other footsteps approaching him]

[is sitting at an empty seat in the common area, watching as his computer program starts copying all the files on 'Barnes, James B.' from SHIELD's servers. He's still trying to figure out just who he used to be, even if it's only basic army info and mission stats. Still better than nothing. Barnes doesn't bother looking up when he hears someone else enter the room]

If you need the room to yourself, I can go.

Maya had just gotten out of one of her first training sessions and it hadn't gone very well. In fact, it had been nearly a complete disaster. The instructor had tried to explain something to her verbally and very quickly, but being deaf, Maya could barely understand a word of what they were saying. She tried to explain that she was a visual learner, but the instructor wouldn't listen. Feeling very frustrated with herself, she went outside to sit on one of the stone staircases that led into the buildings. She watched a group of people walk by her, watching them wistfully. "Wish I could be like them," she muttered to herself.

[is hunkered down in a corner of the common area, a new bottle of paint remover and a rag nearby, grumbling to himself as he breaks open the plastic seal with his teeth] Stupid shitty store brand...doesn't even work the first time...

[is sitting in the kitchen with a bottle of paint remover and a rag, pouring some of the chemical on the rag and making a face when he sniffs the fumes. The SHIELD agent guarding the door makes a similar face when the smell hits her] Hard to believe it's 2014 and they haven't found a way to make paint remover not smell like shit.
