Definitely the prison break/kitchen scene. That part of the film has everything: Charles's terrible lying, Logan proving his relation to Rapunzel, QUICKSILVER, Charles punching Erik, the gratuitous angry eye-fucking, QUICKSILVER AND DUCT TAPE, Erik's sudden entry into fatherhood. After that scene, I literally thought: "The rest of this movie can suck for all I care and I will STILL buy it when it comes onto DVD."

I agree, it's very well written, amazingly directed and well acted. the first time I watched xmdofp and this segment came on screen, I said to myself 'ok I'll never get tired of watching this'. Quicksilver is an amazing character, funny and quirky, he lightens the tension of the movie without being trivial (something that - unfortunately - usually happens with marvel studios) Then again, BOOM, Charles punches Erik and everything is tense again, feelings float in the air (ANGST ANGST AND SEXUAL TENSION).. but once again our hero Peter saves the day with a scene that is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. That's the kind of idea for a scene that everyone would love to have. And everything is perfect, Logan, Charles, Erik, Peter. 

OK, I just love this part of xmdofp a lot.
