Strong arms wrapping around his waist surprised him as he hadn’t herd the older man approaching him, something that he was not used to, but it was not unwelcome. “Hello, love,” Lu Han murmured and leaned into the embrace, enjoying the feeling of soft lips pressed against his nape. When the older man pulled away, he turned around to look at him. “Wh-” the shifter started, only to be interrupted by his lover’s gentle shushing. Lu Han pressed his pink links together as he closed his mouth, wondering what Leon wanted to talk about. If it wasn’t for the small smile curling his lips, he would worry about what was on the elder’s mind.
Meeting Leon’s gaze, a small smile spread across his lips as he heard the other’s words. Even after all the time they had spent together, the vampire was still able to make his heart flutter. It still made him incredibly happy to hear how the older man felt about him. “I’ve never been happier than when I am with you either, Asce. I will always be glad and feel happy to have you in my life like this,” Lu Han murmured back, about to take a step closer to the red headed man, when he continued speaking, getting down on one knee.
"…Asce…what are you doing?" Golden eyes widened as his heart skipped a beat. Was what he thought was happening really happening? Tears gathered in the corners of his eyes. He sniffed, the tears rolled down his cheeks, and he covered his mouth with his hands. No matter how much he’d dreamed about this day coming, he hadn’t imagined it would actually happen. “Oh my god…” Lu Han gasped when Leon opened the box, letting him see the ring inside. “Oh my god, yes, yes! A million times yes! I want to spend the rest of eternity with you too!” he cried as he jumped on the older man, kissing him as he tackled him to the floor.
Waiting for the younger male's answer was almost tantalizing and the seconds were passing in ultra rapid. Giving Leon more than enough time to consider his options then and there, what he'd do if it turned bad, and of course the opposite. However paying most thoughts to the bad things. He had thought this true a million times already, what he'd do if the younger would reject him. And in all honesty, the answer was still floating. He knew he'd accept it then and there, but afterwards? He had no idea. Maybe he'd just move on easily, or he'd break entirely. He wasn't sure.
And thus when he was tackled to the flooring, barely registering the words the younger uttered, he was surprised, gasping as he hit the floor with a thud, fingers clutching around the velvet box. When he finally realized the response had been positive as lips met his, he wrapped his arms tightly around the younger male, eyes brimming with crystal clear tears as pale lips curled up into an even wider smile. He kissed Luhan back passionately as tears rolled down his cheeks. Had never cried before the other, not for any reason at all, and this was certainly the best one of the two options and he was glad beyond belief. Hear feeling as if it would resume it's beating at any time.
keeping the embrace tight, he brought them both up into a sitting position, grasping for Luhan's left hand, holding it in his as he fiddled with the ring for a moment, getting it out of the box safely. He slid it onto his lover's finger with shaky hands, smiling as he met his gaze, eyes colored a bright turquoise by now, indicating the intense flow of happiness within. He brought the hand to his lips, kissing Luhan's knuckles before shutting his eyes and leaning in to kiss his lips once more, affection wordless but present in every action he performed. "I love you. So so much."
