I love to draw my characters in fancy clothes, but in actual fact, over the course of two and a half books I think the fanciest thing I describe any of them wearing is matching black suits and ties. Mostly they just wear, like, sweaters. When you’re busy fighting corrupt politicians and mad demigods, there’s no time for fancy clothes!

I cannot manage brevity.

That’s a logical flaw for me to have: Years of people misunderstanding or doubting you would make restating things and giving evidence good habits to have. But then there’s the ‘doth protest too much’ and ‘I get it already do they think I’m stupid’ problems.

Well, if it was easy, our brains wouldn’t be this large - especially when larger skull size kills. We don’t need gas-guzzling hardware built with the biological equivalent of gold-plated platinum for tool use - our brains can justify their build, upkeep and opportunity costs only with the fact that other people are just that difficult.

...And I would be shocked if we haven’t been evolving to do more and more with the gut neurons to get around the skull size problem. I can definitely see future humans ending up with two brains, like the larger dinosaurs. 

And that’s not ‘if we don’t add on more processing power via computers before then.’ That’s in addition to any cyborg upgrades. Mutations that produce greater intelligence have always spread like wildfire because other people will never stop being infinitely difficult. 

I was going to try to make myself write only the first sentence in this post, but honestly, forget that. Thinking about things is just too interesting.
