@shiliria posted some incredible lineart to colour, so of course I had to have a go at it! Look at them, they’re so cuuuute 💛🖤
Today’s artist interview is with @shiliria, a page artist for the color yellow! Learn more about her art inspirations below, check out some of the initial concept art, and be sure to pledge to our Kickstarter before April 10th to see the finished piece.

Where did you get the inspiration for your piece?
I had already decided what kind of environment I would draw with any color. For the yellow one it was going to be either the sunflowers or the bakery. Once I started to try to come out with ideas for each one, I realized how much more I enjoyed doing the concepts for the bakery. That's why I chose that one.
What's the story behind your fairy?
The basic idea is it's just a fairy that likes to bake bread and little friends. You can find one of the little baked friends in the illustration. I haven't given the baker fairy any name. But one of my friends calls them "Bimbo" after a bread brand we have in my country.
What was your favorite part of the illustration process? What was your least favorite?
My favorite part was coming up with the whole concept, the design for the fairy and the composition of the piece. And while working with just one color was fun, it was also quite challenging. Even now I feel like I could have used it better in my piece.
Any other cool details about your piece you'd like to share?
There was a lot of staring at bread pictures in the process. And I was hungry 80% of the time I was working on the piece.
You can find more of Shiliria’s work on Tumblr as @shiliria or Instagram as shiliria.
20 and 21: What do you think you've improved on the most over the past year? And what do you want to work on the most next✨?
HEY!!
20. I think I improved on backgrounds and perspective the most! Especially thanks to uni!
21. There's quite a few things: an updated "Meet The Artist", doing art of my OCs and story telling art and art depicting mental health (this one specifically in relation to story telling tho independent pieces may be drawn too)! I also wanna try out making my own 3D models since I got into 3D programs as part of my uni lessons and assignments and it's quite fun!
Sigh. Let me describe how my day was today. (out of character but yeah) The old desk I’ve had for almost 4 years now has been stored in the back wall of my living room. This is the desk I used back nearly a year ago when I began my channel for Fleetway. Immediately I was overwhelmed with memories and the nostalgia I had in spring of 2020. I can still remember the air freshener from that time I had, I think it was a mixed berry scent. The desk used to be at my main window by my front door. Back then, me...a 28 year old adult felt like a little kid again during those days. So then, it hit me: I cannot and no longer want to get rid of the desk. So many mornings, and nights were spent making some of the happiest moments of my life. These are so special to me. God, I’m getting so emotional remembering it. And writing it. March was the start of the new chapter where I voiced one of the most amazing, and incredible characters of the Sonic franchise. Fleetway pulled me from a pit of heartbreak and dark times. I wish he was really here to know that. But it brings me a bit of comfort thanks to my imagination that he knows he helped me. My life has been so much better ever since I met this ball of fluff. As well as Shiliria also bringing him a bit more to life with her art. Thank you, for reading.
Rosy commission by @shiliria
Disclaimer: Obviously not my art and this has been posted here with the artist’s permission. This was a commissioned piece of my Rosy redesign so please do not repost without the artist’s permission and do not remove the links, credits, or disclaimers. Reblogs and spreading awareness of the artist is appreciated though.
^v^
So, commissioned @shiliria to draw Rosy (my Amy Rose redesign/re-imagining) for me struggling unsuccessfully not to sink into an over-sized ball pit of Sonic plushies and was delivered this spectacular piece. I absolutely love it and and have nothing but appreciation for the wonderful pic ♥ Thank you so much @shiliria!
This makes me so annoyed. Only 11 reposts...
I know this happens ALL the time but please...I really wish people would reblog an artists work, that was from a commission I paid for for a YouTube channel and the artist is called shiliria and she also made this below, one of the most beloved Sonic antagonists Super Fleetway Sonic; please go show her some support and she’s taking commissions right now. It costs 0$ to show an artists work 😔
