Well, it’s more like Louis decides. The last time Louis went over to Legosi’s, all he had to eat was a bunch of instant ramen.
“I work six days a week, so there’s not really any time to make anything.”, is his excuse. Louis isn’t satisfied.
He comes over one day with a bag full of ingredients. Legosi sniffs at them but can’t really determine what the contents are. Louis puts on the apron he brought and Legosi can’t stop his tail from wagging when he sees him. He looks super cute wearing it...
“Wow, you must be hungry, huh.”“Y-yeah.”
Louis makes use of the one pan Legosi happens to have. It was a gift but he probably only used it two times. As much as Louis was talking this up, he himself isn’t great at preparing meals either, and is doing pretty much the only thing he knows how to: sauteing vegetables. Nonetheless, Legosi is very impressed by this and watches very closely. Louis feels a bit crowded at times and tells Legosi to give him some space, which he does for a little while before he comes back. At one point he rests his chin on Louis’s shoulder while he loosely folds his arms around him. At that point Louis can’t work up the will to tell him to leave again.
Everything falls quiet, aside from the sizzling of the veggies on the stove and the gentle sound of rain on the window. The sun had set around half an hour ago, and the only light in the room is coming from the small light above the stove, bathing the room in an almost orange light. Louis’s eyelids droop slightly, almost being lulled to sleep by the cozy atmosphere coupled with the warm body lightly enveloped around him. He unconsciously syncs his breathing with Legosi’s as they both wait for the food to finish.
The dish itself isn’t that great. Legosi says he loves it, but Louis isn’t satisfied. He was too distracted while making it. The tap water Legosi handed him is also a bit metallic tasting. But as he listens to the wolf ramble on about bugs and his neighbors and whatever else pops into his mind he thinks about how he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else than right there at that very moment.
Legosi and Louis both love movies, but for very different reasons. Louis focuses more on the performances of the actors and the nuances of the plot, while Legosi focuses on the art direction, lighting, and framing of the shots. They’ll talk about these aspects during the movie. If they’re watching a favorite of Legosi’s, though, he’ll spend minutes upon minutes infodumping about parts of it, causing Louis to pause it. He doesn’t mind, of course
Louis usually finds himself in Legosi’s lap or in between his legs, if he’s sitting cross legged, while Legosi maneuvers around the antlers
