Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, also known as simply Cadence (sometimes with the leading titles of Princess, Queen, Alicorn, Empress, and/or Crystal), is the Alicorn most involved with her subjects. She is the Alicorn reigning over the chaotic Cosmic Force of Love in all forms (familial, platonic, romantic, sexual, every type). Her presence in Equestria is mostly made up by short visits and mythologies related to her status. Cadence's place is serving as the sweet, motherly leader of the traditional Crystal Empire, a thriving city-state that falls outside Equestria's reign.
