Planted some shin kuroda carrots back in Jan/Feb, but then turned/added soil/compost in April, basically burying all the carrots except for these three hardy roots ✊🏼 . Best carrot harvest so far! Especially in terms of girth—which, I’ve learned recently, is an important aspect of quality taste & texture of veg. Packs in the pleasure, apparently. So maybe the double mounding is the secret? 🤔 .
