pink haired girl in fire bomber is from macross 7. all those characters are just past musicians/singers from older macross series. lynn minmay from the original super dimensional fortress macross, fire bomber is the band from macross 7, sheryl and ranka from macross frontier. i would definitely suggest at least watching the original macross series (or the "do you remember love?" film) sometime, it's a classic by all rights.

i didnt care for the three elemental girls. the airheaded one (sylphy right?) is really overdone and i dont really find that sort of humor to be cute.
Yeah Muse and Sylphy are the two elemental girls i was speaking of (Air and water I believe?). I thought the same thing. Had some good parts but the other characters really were on another level. But I still really enjoyed them all. The mascots were my absolute fav though. They literally made that show
