Shiny Dung Beetle!

This lovely creature is Trypocopris vernalis, a species of dung beetle with beautiful blue hue. Unlike scarabs, this beetle doesn't roll dung in little balls, but digs small nests to lay eggs in directly inside the pile. If you ever happen to pick up this cutie, remember to wash your hands afterwards!

Idk what possessed me but originally I drew a beetle in pencil and then I spent 3 hours drawing it again but digitally.

Idk I saw the beetle and it made me think of Elizabeth in Guillermo del toros Frankenstein
