Okay. So picture this: you open the chapter, already hyped because Guren’s squad looked like they might finally, maybe, POSSIBLY stand a chance. We all had that tiny spark of hope, like— “Yes. THIS is it. Shinya and Guren side by side, unstoppable. Teamwork. Friendship. Found family. VICTORY???”
But then. THEN.
The panel drops like a guillotine. ⚡🩸
Our Shinya. My sunshine. My angel. My number one comfort boy. AND THEN KAGAMI JUST… slaps him off the stage?? With SAITO of all people?? (I hate him. I’m putting him in my “villain jail” tier list permanently 🔥). Excuse me sir, who gave you the right?? Like… if Byakkomaru can hop in and out of people, why not Shinya?? Why didn’t our boy get the demon-armor plot armor 😭😭.

And don’t even get me started on the “sorry.”
“Sorry.”
SORRY?! BABE, THIS WAS THE MOMENT. He could’ve said:
🌙 “The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” (aka I love you, aka stab me with feelings please)
Or even just— “Guren, I lo—” 💔 cut off mid-sentence, classic tragic soulmate style.
But no. We got the soft little apology that shattered a thousand hearts.
Shinya deserved to live. He deserved to love. He deserved… to be happy. 🕊️
And Guren’s face? OH. His mask cracked. His everything cracked. The man who bottles up centuries of trauma just… broke. And we saw it. 🥀

But okay, listen— Byakkomaru should’ve possessed him, right? Or maybe there’s still some secret trump card? But this is ONS. Nobody stays dead-dead. Not really. We’ve seen too many resurrections, demon contracts, experiments, gods popping out of nowhere. Shinya could:
👼 Come back as an angel (he deserves wings, don’t even fight me on this).
🌌 Be pulled back by Byakkomaru (yes demon rifle gun tiger, do something USEFUL for once).
🌙 Or—tragically poetic—he stays as a guiding “moon” for Guren, haunting him with love unspoken.
