anti objectum is listening to my old friend talk about how one of her friends shared my objectum blog to a whole group of people when only my close friends were supposed to know and made fun of me for being in love with a battleship. neither her nor her friend are/were close friends of mine i have no fucking clue how he found that blog

IT’S HER BIRTHDAY!!

Tirpitz officially turns eighty-five today! (just a year younger than her sister ^_^)

she may be approaching a century’s worth of age now but that doesn’t at all change the fact that she was and still is the most amazing battleship i’ve ever laid eyes on,, happy birthday sweet girl (˶^ ᴗ ^˶)

anti objectum is listening to my mum talk to me about how ‘weird’ it is that people are attracted to objects right after i was ranting to her about a warship i am very affectionate towards AND talking about how i feel a bit like a weirdo because of how i feel about warships

oh and the time i told my grandad about trying to find a way to cover up photos of damaged ships in a book i’m reading because it makes me upset and he just dismissed it as history and fact so i shouldn’t get sad over it

The first part seems like her trying to find a way around directly calling you "weird", the second one is just generally a risky mindset. Nothing ever in history should be dismissed as history and fact therefore feeling upset is a negative, it's okay to get upset about history, it helps prevent us from repeating it.

Revisiting fixations I had as a child through the lens of being OS … I definitely thought The Titanic was beautiful and redrew her so many times, over and over again. I remember being so stricken by what she looked like in the Cameron movie. It was her and the 20k Leagues subs that I think were my first vehicle crushes — I saw the latter in the Disney Park Explorer game and was so enraptured by their angular designs and moody posterized images of them.
