Yugioh Ships Crash Course: Part 1 of 100

We're going to start with some of the Yugi ships. I also invite literally everyone to reblog this with propaganda for these ships. 💛

Puzzleshipping: Yugi Mutou x Yami Yugi

This is the most obvious ship in the whole show because these two are so obsessed with each other. Yami's immediate instincts once the pizzle is reassembled are to protect this small awkward high schooler from everything and everyone at all costs. Sharing a mind and a body makes them connected on just about every level that exists. There's unending devotion and dedication of each to the other. They're partners, they're a team, and whatever label you give their relationship, it's 100% some kind of love.

Wishshipping: Yugi Mutou x Joey Wheeler

Yugi wished on the puzzle for a friend, and Joey was the answer to his wish. But Joey also would never have become the person that he was without Yugi's influence. They're so pure, and Joey chooses to devote himself to Yugi, to protecting Yugi. I could go on and on, but you saw the episode where they save each other's lives in Battle City, you don't need me to tell you that they make each other's eyes glow.

Heartshipping: Yugi Mutou x Ryou Bakura

Two awkward soft-spoken game-obsessed dorks who don't see anything wrong with their Cursed Amulets. They're both bullied and shy, and are raised by an archaeologist, and oh btw, they're doomed by the narrative. Ryou has to deal with being possessed by the entity that wants to destroy Yugi, which is such tasty angst, but you know that Yugi has a heart big enough to see past that.

Peachshipping: Yugi Mutou x Téa Gardner

This one is so intuitive to me personally, just because of how protective of Yugi Téa always is, and how much he wants to impress her. He's so supportive of her dreams, and she's so awed by his compassion. It's absolutely precious. Complete fluff.

witchrepresentative is a total crackship with no actual backing to it. literally the only thing that is has going for it is that theyre both situated in yott. and they both have the attack guilt trip. and they both have an underlying theme of mind manipulation/control (presters "hivemind" cheat and al saying winston had a plan to brainwash toons). and the both of them having cheats that involve giving an extra attack. and the lead up to presters fight being one of the few times a taskline manager (winston obvs) gets mentioned outside their own fights buildup/the directors fight buildup. and the both of them being opposites in many different ways, which is a common ship trope (opposites-attract! winston being friendly to such a fault it got them captured/prester being mean to such a fault it gets him in trouble with his boss. winston being underground/prester being above ground. winston having stuttery speech/prester having rather complex speech.). and the fact they have an interesting similarity with firesetter in the way that its a constantly grinning sellbot and a pyrokinetic, one of which with a heightened sense of ego. and the fact it potentially follows one of the most classic fairytale (to an overdone degree) tropes of all time, the damsel in distress. and the fact both their job titles involve dealing with reputations, either heightening the reputation of the company or lowering the reputation of the opposition. and the fact the toon dialogue in the looming lawbot task implies prester is in yott, at least partially, to free winston. and the fact presters valentoons text is him going on and on and on about how love it beneath him to a comedic degree, almost like hes compensating for something or has been personally burned (haha) by love. and presters now-scrapped "fellow suits, YOU may be next!" mob mentality dialogue potentially gesturing towards winston and their situation. and the fact that-
