Ship Scale/Ask Game for Reasonable People
3 (Adoring 💓): You ship it to the point that you feel compelled to create content (fanfic, fanart, edits, headcanons, rec lists, etc.) for it in addition to actively seeking out content that others create.
2 (Loving 💘): You ship it to the point that you actively seek out and regularly engage with content related to it, but don't feel compelled or inspired to create for it.
1 (Liking 🩷): You ship it to the point where you will incidentally engage with and typically enjoy content about it, but don't actively seek it out. A ship that a mutual loves (ship-in-law) or a common secondary ship in fics about your otp might fall under this category.
0 (Neutral 🩶): You don't have any major positive or negative feelings towards the ship. If you engage with content, it's because of the quality of the content (ie. "This fanart is so pretty!") rather than the ship itself. You are likely not part of the fandom in question and only know about the ship in passing.
-1 (Disliking 💔): The ship is not for you/not your cup of tea. You make mild attempts to avoid it, like scrolling away from posts about it or not finishing fics that feature it too prominently. The dislike is generally mild/at the annoyance level.
-2 (Hating 😡): You dislike the ship to the point that you make significant efforts to avoid it (blocking the ship tag, using the "exclude" filters on ao3, etc.). Engaging with content about the ship typically leaves you feeling upset for one reason or another, but you manage these feelings responsibly.
-3 (Anti ⚠️): You dislike the ship to the point that you leave hate comments on content about it and/or start conflict with individual shippers. (This is not normal behavior, btw, but it does exist. If you find yourself here regularly, you probably don't have the right temperament for fandom as a hobby.)
This scale is meant to be a fandom agnostic, general, and non-exhaustive tool.
That being said, if you send me any ship I've at least heard of before, I'll tell you where I fall on the scale for it and why.
