When I saw my package I order from Five Below was at the Smart Post Clinton, PA location I was sure it would be stuck there for at least a week. I just checked and it has already left! It’s a miracle. I swear Clinton, PA is usually where packages go to die.

TW: mentions of incest ships

So it’s a good thing I don’t generally browse tags(except for like, my ships haha) because, from what I’m hearing, it sounds like the Arc V one kinda, went a bit nuts last night after the new episode came out. Specifically about incest ships and what you should or should not ship.

And I’m just, a bit confused why this this is now a thing everyone’s getting up in arms about.

I mean, I don’t have incest ships, it’s not my thing, it squicks me out something bad and if I see that in a tag or something, I’m moving on without opening(and I’ve had a few times were it wasn’t tagged and noped out of a fic something fierce). I am not however, going to send that person hate and bully them for their choice in ship.

Why am I confused?

Because it’s not like this is anything knew. News flash, people shipping family members is nothing new, period. Not to this series or fandom, and not new at all.

Neither is ‘selfcest’ type ships(which I’ll get to in a moment).

I mean, if it’s tagged avoidance is easy. Really really easy. Hell, even if it isn’t, if you use Xkit’s blacklist, it will hide any posts containing the word(s) you blacklist, regardless of whether or not they’re in the tags. If it’s in the body of the post, boom, hidden post.

And the main, hate on, I see for the ‘problematic’ ships is that it’ll hurt survivors and the ‘your ship is not my ship’ mentality is bad b/c you shouldn’t ship certain things ever b/c of that.

I can’t speak for them(and I won’t that would be wrong of me) but uh, I’ve seen plenty of instances of survivors themselves going ‘No, you can ship it’ and saying the ‘you ship/king is not my ship/kink’ is you know, good and stuff like that. Cause you know, tagging and blacklisting.

And there are plenty of posts about why the whole ‘only survivors can ship X’ is a bad mentality that I won’t get into it. It’s been covered who can put it better than I can.

I will tag @rhodanum if they want to chime in on either of those points, or provide more links (or know someone who can cause they could say it better than I could).

As for the selfcest? I uh, don’t see why that’s an issue(and certainly not now). For one thing it’s a literal impossible situation. You cannot have, relations, with yourself.

The second, at least in the case of the Yu boys/Bracelet girls, I think we’ve all been suspecting the whole ‘one soul/being split into four’ for a while, now we have confirmation on that fact. Plus, they all have different lives, experiences, personalities so even if they were one person, they are, technically, different people now.

Also it’s nothing new. It really isn’t.

tl;dr Just tag your shit so people who want to avoid it can. And if you want to avoid something blacklist it/don’t read and move on.

Finally posted something. I know it hasn’t been too terribly long, but it felt like it, in all honesty. 

Anyways, I went to a party yesterday, and while all the girls played some purse game (I think to see what was inside it, IDEK) I decided to draw this.
