It’s shameful how hard I ship them.
Okay, who the fuck came up with the idea of shipping Helen with Evelyn Endeavor? I know that you guys WANT so much LGBT-shipping reps. But this isn't the ship that's healthy. It may look cute, but the chemistry here is terrible. Reasons:
- Evelyn hates heroes, she USED Helen to make the heroes come together once they finally got the attention to the world that heroes should rise up again from the world, only to hypnotize them in them end and terrorize the city. She planned on making them to seem 'evil' in everyone's eyes, sharing her own perspective. - "--We don't know each other!" "I thought you're my friend!" - Helen is already married, a mother with three kids and she loves her family. She will do everything to support her husband and children. (RANT: I've heard people supporting on 'cheating' and letting Evelyn abuse Helen too.) - It's never healthy at all. Ya'll are just too dirty, you just wanna see these two women fuck each other. That ship is already problematic as hell - 'But Evelyn has short hair, that means she's lesbian'. Look, we don't know her canon sexuality is, but wtf. LESBIANS ALSO HAVE LONG HAIR, KAREN! GAY MEN CAN ALSO HAVE SHORT HAIR, KAREN! What kind of reason for a LGBTQ+ shipping is that?! That's not even close! I can tell that most you Helellyn shippers are not very educated about the LGBTQ+ community. You started to judge everyone's sexuality by their looks. - They may have a nice talk and they 'did' enjoyed each others' company. but you have to open your eyes that Evelyn has been manipulating Helen, the heroes, and her brother throughout the movie until everything was revealed, not even a good reason for them to become lovers.
(If you really want to see some LGBTQ+ Shippings from Disney or other studios, watch The Owl House, Adventure Time and SHE-RA) [Edit: if you ever look at the replies on this post, I have to warn you guys that there's an ableist who supports this abuse, and some people gaslighting here]
i know we don't want the mood here to be dragging on ja//tlas for ever but i am just glad there's a place where people are at least being VOCAL about how nasty it is because 90% of this fandom condones it and it makes it super uncomfortable to engage with others- because they clearly don't understand the characters. (lets be real, the same thing applies to people who booker//beth)
.
I am a multi shipper and hope to avoid someone saying something like '(character)x(character) sucks! (Character) obviously belongs with (a different character than before)!'
Because chances are, I probably ship the characters they ship together as much as I ship the others.
For example, in botw, I ship Link with 3 people!
I ship him with:
Sidon
Mipha
And Zelda.
In UnderTale? I ship Sans with Tori, but also think that him and Alphys could be good together. But don't go thinking that I don't ship the Hell out of Alphys and Undyne, because not only are they canon, but I'd still ship them, even if they weren't canon. (Because cute nerd x bada$$!)
Let multi shippers multi ship. Easiest way to do that if you don't know if they're a multi shipper or not? Just don't attack anyone over their ships to begin with.
You don't like the ship?
Scroll away. Click away. Be on your way.
You don't need to attack them.
I mean, I've heard that social media sites provide ways to keep specific words or tags from showing up on your screen, right? So you can easily avoid them, as long as people tag them.
I don't think this post needs those tags because I'm just naming examples and not providing anything like art or stories or anything?
Uh....I'll just tag anyway. Don't wanna risk it 🤦🏻♀
I ship Megstiel, but I don't understand why people talk about them as the only canon ship? Is it to screw with Destiehellers? Because I also liked Sam and Jessica (or even Sarah)/Dean and Anna (Kripke why did you give her storyline to Castiel?? That I can't forgive you). I just didn't want them for long together because of the brothers, but they were canon. I don't know if I'm making any sense XD Anyway, looove your blog ♥️♥️
Hi there @magi2506,
You’re correct that there are plenty of canon pairings in SPN: John/Mary, Sam/Jess, Sam/Sarah, Sam/Madison, Dean/Cassie, Dean/Lisa, Dean/Anna, Bobby/Jody, Bobby/Ellen, and so on. But to me and I think many other fans, they’re simply part of the background and not something that’s actively shipped. Like we can all agree that Dean/Anna is canon, for example, but there’s probably very few that would say “I’m a Dean/Anna shipper” or “Dean/Anna is my OTP” and/or create fan art, fan fiction, etc. focused on that pairing. So to me at least, I don’t really consider those as ships, maybe rarepairs at best in some cases.
To me, the primary (i.e. most popular) ships in SPN are Wincest, Megstiel, Sastiel, Destiel, and Sabriel, while secondary ships include Saileen, Samwena, Denny, Drowley, and so on. Of those, Megstiel is the only one to have actual onscreen romance, including a smoking hot kiss, a discussion of wanting to have sex later, and of course Meg sacrificing herself for her unicorn. For all the rest, the romance and smut takes place in fan spaces only, not in canon. So that’s why Megstiel is considered the only canon ship by many of us.
Shipping Status Update + PDF Comic Available!
I have finished packing all of your orders, my friends, but there have been some complicated progress regarding the Coronavirus and things are shutting down again until April/May.
Believe me you don’t know how pissed i am about this. My workshop is now fully online, and the first convention i’ll be attending has been moved to a new date twice and it gives me so much frustration.
I am sorry for such a delay, nobody wants this but what else could we do? Well, for those that wants a PDF version of Raising Hell with an Angel, you can do it now! After your payment is made, I will personally send you your own copy of the comic book since EWCID doesn’t provide me a way to sell digital products directly.
FIND IT HERE.
Tbh I dislike rabid character stans more than rabid shippers. At least if the latter hate a character it's usually bc they get in the way of their ship. Silly, but comprehensible. While the former usually don't care abt anyone who isn't their fave, apart from them being a sex doll/yes man/etc. They tend to demonize/diminish any other character, and whitewash/glorify their fave that, as you said, they make them obnoxious instead of perfect. Not to mention their obsession with reader fics.
They tend to come up pretty equal for me, really, when it comes to their extremist forms. Both cases are about not only laser focusing solely on the things the author is interested in (fine) but acting like the very idea anyone might not agree [character/ship] is the singular best and most important thing about the canon is some kind of heresy (myopic in a weird & off-putting way).
I’ve seen about as many Character A is Evil because they’re in the way of Ship X as I’ve seen Character A is Evil because they don’t bend over backwards in literally every possible way for My Fave Character B.
I’m honestly not too bothered about Reader fics, just because they’re mercifully usually pretty easy to spot and avoid. It’s when I read a summary of what sounds like an interesting canon cast fic and wind up in Stanville or Untagged Shipland that I get irritated.
