I got tagged and I'm feeling unusually susceptible to babbling about myself because I just got in from shoveling out our driveway for like the 6th time in a week so here goes.  I don't normally do this and I doubt I'll do it again.

Questions and Answers!

1. What color is your hair?

Dark brown with a lot of gray mixed in.  (I started going gray when I was 27 and pregnant with my first.  Now it's all in my temples and then sprinkled around the rest of my head.)  It's super short -- my teenager buzzes it to 1" every couple months.  I keep wanting to go shorter...

2. What is your favorite color?

I like colors and lots of them.  Jewel tones, contrast, rich tones, no pastels.

3. Who is your tumblr crush?

Hmm, the only tumblr that I routinely go and visit and keep up with every single post on (as opposed to just seeing whatever's on my wall at the moment) is someone with a very controversial reputation on tumblr and the internet in general, so I'm not gonna name or tag them.  Sorry for being a chickenshit but I react poorly to getting hate, especially for stupid stuff like liking someone that other people don't like.

4. What made you join tumblr?

At the time, I claimed it was so that I could keep up with a few celebs like Soren Bowie and John Hodgman and Fake Science, but I got very rapidly sucked into fandom and now I follow over 4000 blogs.

5. Favorite book?

Oh lordy, I can't possibly choose a book.  How about some authors?  I'm heavy into Jeff Vandermeer, China Mieville, Neil Gaiman, Shakespeare, Lemony Snicket, anything weird and immersive and off-kilter with good world-building.  I loves me some world-building.

6. Favorite name?

Like, name for a person?  Hmm.  Well, the name that we had chosen for our younger child, were she to come out as the boy we were expecting, was Sumner Harrison.  Sumner not because we're gigantic Sting fans (although he's a perfectly alright guy, IMO) but because we liked the name Sam but not the long form of Samuel.  Harrison was for George, who died around the time I was pregnant.

7. Least favorite TV show?

Least favorite? I don't watch that much TV, although I've picked up more shows since joining tumblr than I've watched at once time since college.  I don't dig on police procedurals, reality shows (except some stuff on Food Network), most sitcoms...

8. First fandom?

First in my life?  Alice in Wonderland, probably.  It's big in my family, going back a couple generations.  My mom could recite You Are Old, Father William.  I can recite The Jabberwocky.  We named one of our children Alice.  First on tumblr?  Sherlock BBC.

9. Favorite place in the whole wide world (yes you can say your bed)?

My bed.  NGL.  It's my happy place, and when I'm stressed or in the dentist's chair or whatever, I go there in my mind.

10. What should this last question be?
