First ship you ever read fic for: er. This probably absolutely makes me a fandom olds, but Gravitation. I know, I know. NOW I know how problematic it all is. But good god, there was so little really-for-REAL-not-just-slash-goggles-GAY anime/mainstream-manga back at the turn of the century. (...Granted, I’m not saying there’s a lot of truly-gay-not-slash anime today.)
First ship you ever wrote fic for: Not a writer, but I’m an artist, but-- surely it was Weiss Kreuz.
Ship you write art the most now: Years of artblock. YEARS. (oh shit, I did do a Killing Eve drawing earlier this year. A one-off. No love. Blocked again!)
Ship you read the most now: Right now I am on a wicked fierce Bucky/Steve (Captain America et al) jag. There is so much content. So much porn. So much imagination! (The authors GO THERE. How often do you encounter E.D. fic? A really good mpreg that isn’t an a/b/o thing? More crossdressing than you can shake a stick at? Body horror and SCIENCE and brainwashing and PTSD and and!!)
Newest ship: That’d be the aforementioned stucky.
Rare ship you wanna read more of: Yohji/Schuldig from Weiss Kreuz. It was scarce even in its heyday. When done right? It completes me.
Your taboo ship: To quote @the-rogue-of-london-town quoting @sanspatronymic, “there are no taboos in shipping, only squicks.” (That said. Adult/underage pairings are just NO, beyond the squick.)
They never met in canon ship: I-- I’m embarrassed to say I have so few ships (comparatively speaking to most, I suspect?) that I don’t think any of them fall under this category...?
Your unexpected ship: Eve and Villanelle from Killing Eve? It’s so fucked up I was too busy admiring their damage that I wasn’t sure I could go there, enjoying them as a romantic pairing. It’s still all so new. Waiting for S2 to see how this develops....
The ship you always forget to give love to: Charles/Erik (X-Men)? Arthur/Eames (Inception)? Napoleon/Illya (The Man From UNCLE [film])? So much potential. Eternally pissed it’s not explicitly canon. Story of my fandom life.
A ship you’re embarrassed to ship: I am torn between I HAVE NO SHAME and er i am a fandom olds and you’ve never heard of these people and maybe their stories are too problematic to explain now.
Your most romantic ship: DON’T ASK ME TO CHOOSE AMONGST MY CHILDREN. Look, Imma stan for Yohji/Schuldig again because of the romeo/juliet thing, and the mind-reading thing, and the ridiculous metric ton of angst inherent in that property. But if you’re looking for a ship y’all’ve actually heard of, I’ll go for my most recent, stucky. Reunion angst fic owns me.
Your sexiest ship: Motherfucker make me say Yohji/Schuldig again. MAKE ME SAY IT AGAIN! hahaha. XD Okay, so aside from that, let’s go with Sheppard/Rodney from Stargate: Atlantis bc SCIENCE: SOOO SEXY. (Tied with: Crawford/Schuldig from Weiss Kreuz. Psychic bastard evil assassins, mmm.)
Your most tragic ship: Haha, but real talk: Hannibal/Will IS REALLY KIND OF TRAGIC? We’re talking epic levels of mindfuck, it’s so delicious, but... even given a SPECTRUM of the definition of what “happy ending” looks like, I don’t know if these dudes get a happy. ending. Tragic and awesome ending, yes. idk. As William Gibson says, a happy ending is “a matter of when you roll the credits.”
A ship you want more content for: Did I mention Yohji/Schuldig? I know this is like saying I wanna see a brontosaurus walking down the street.
