i’ve got thoughts and feeling about billie returning.

like i love billie piper, i think she’s an amazing actor. but it’s just she shouldn’t have been brought back to be the doctor.

i’m very much a fan of having a relatively unknown play the doctor. and for the doctor to be played by somebody who can bring a new spin on the role. i just don’t think billie can offer that and i see them trying to do a rose 2.0 and bad wolf persona. and we’ve seen that. it’s not new.

i think it’s very much a ploy to grab viewers and as a way for RTD to toot his own horn/centralise his og era as being the most important one in the show’s history.

UHHHH….making Billie Piper into the 16th Doctor. While she is a great actress, I’m TIRED of THIS GAME, RTD. You’ve already turned regeneration, which was supposed to be an EMOTIONAL and TRAUMATIC thing (a passing of the mantle if you will), into some cheap and lazy writing gag with Bi-generation happening not once, but TWICE, and now this?! First it was really surprising bringing back David Tennant again…but THIS?! It’s turning into the Bi-generation thing for me. I JUST….. *screams into the void*

i think it’s really horrible that the one black doctor had the shortest run there is especially considering the amount of backlash from ppl being anti black & then to cut his seasons short to bring back an actress for what can only be an attempt at nostalgia
