Any thoughts on City of Trees by SanjanaIndica? I think the art's cute and appreciate the use of uncommon animals (Chital deer and dholes), though I do have trouble keeping track of all the dhole characters.

Dhole comic/Deer comic/wildlife story/friendship
Art:
Very cute and very pleasing to the eye. They use good colors and the expressions are very nice. There’s sometimes a wonky face but they do a good job with keeping up with a cartoon anatomy. Like the anon mentioned sometimes it’s hard to see who is who but you figure it out slowly.
That last panel was a notable fail. Using a different perspective would have been better. Maybe looking at Adhi and seeing the doe over his shoulder so we can see both of their expressions.

Nothing as of now
Characters
You can relate to them. No one is unbearable. You can hate them but agree with them. It’s a very good mix.
There’s even some good history with the father.
Overall:
The story is good. The plot is a bit unknown seeing that the chital character Adhi is friends with a dhole character Santania but once they become friends the plot still isn’t known yet.
The prologue for once was actually...needed
Good use of timeskips and transitions. The paneling is good, not too basic and when there’s action or dramatic scenes the author does well!
(Some screens to brighten up our blog feed)
I like the the comic a lot! Refreshing to see other animals other than dogs. You can see the art improve overtime as well.
Another good point is that the comic touches on grieving and the process of it. It’s very heart pulling and you can feel for the characters.
The comic updates regularly, 2 times a week. The comment section has good discussions. The author seems nice. She has a patreon as well if y’all want to check that out!
I’ll be watching for updates for this comic. Good recommendation anon!
