Whitefish Point, Michigan

I am not real sure how we ended up in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan... there is not much here, which is part of the reason we love it. So, today we ventured over an hour away to go to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum which is located at Whitefish Point. It was literally near nothing, yet there are a ton of people there.

The museum highlighted all of the shipwrecks in the Great Lakes. It was very well done.

And extremely interesting. One of our favorite songs for some reason is the Edmund Fitzgerald and now we have been to where it occurred. Of course we were singing it all day.

We watched an informational video on the Edmund Fitzgerald, and by now we all know how much I love a good info video. The most interesting part was the Newtsuit.

Well, that wasn’t the most interesting part at all, but we all got a kick out of the Newtsuit simple because we love the Newts.

Day gathered a couple of rocks from the shore, we toured the lighthouse, and a few other museum buildings and then took the scenic route home.

The upper pennisula is all you would imagine it to be. I really like it here.
