Also, I’ve been pronouncing “Guy” in my head the French way the whole time (the book uses Guy DE Gisbourne, not Guy OF Gisborne, so my French brain automatically took over). I then had a moment of disconnect during the author’s notes when the author started making “bad Guy” puns using the English pronunciation. Like what, no, why you do that?

The Wode series in a nutshell, tbh.
Just finished reading the first two books in this series. Amazing. If you like MM romance, especially historical or fantasy, then these are a must read. The third book is out in the Autumn. I think the first one won three Rainbow Awards.. I have no clue how how I missed them until now. Beautifully written and a fantastic story. Well then … Off you go.. Get them read!!!
