He had heard this place mentioned multiple times from Sorey and Mikleo. To the point he was told he would get to see it one day. But to actually see it however? Jude could hardly believe his eyes. This was where they had lived? This beautiful landscape on top of the mountains? It was so peaceful and immediately he could feel something special about it. It truly was a safe haven for seraphim to live in. To think that such a place existed within this world.

Jude had practically been silent the entire time they walked through the forest and up the mountain to get here. If anything he was speechless. This place brought a lot of mixed feelings into his heart, especially when they crossed that barrier and he saw the sights out of the forest. On one hand he was entranced by the scenery and on the other... he was a little scared to visit a village full of seraphim. Nothing could prepare him for this.

So as Sorey went about his business, the young seraphim waited outside the gates purposefully because being inside them without Sorey by his side felt almost unbearable. He wanted to avoid any trouble and he didn’t want to get Sorey in any bother because he wasn’t with him. It’s true that the seraphim here might be more understanding... but he was just too scared to chance that.

“Is it... really okay for me to be here?” speaking up finally as the Shepherd made his way back over. “It really is a nice place, but I--” he normally was not welcome in place like this.

The rain felt soothing. 

For weeks now it had fallen without pause, people in the city had begun to whisper, spoke of how unnatural, how ill it felt and yet Richard did not mind it so much. He walked the street without a cloak, briefly pausing and closing his eyes, tilting his head upwards as it soaked through his clothes. There was something comforting to him about it, though the young noble could not fully place the reason. 

The streets were largely empty, people tried to stay out of the worst of it, yet with the weather unchanging most were forced to endure the downpour. Few stayed out longer than need be and the silence that accompanied the rain brought a sense of peace as well. How long had it been since Pendrago felt peaceful? Richard could not even recall. 

He sees a figure hurrying through the streets, and for a split second he thought he saw others, yet in the span of a breath he saw his eyes fooling him. Strange to see someone out so late; they did not seem to be from around here. Any local would have brought something to protect themselves from the weather. 

“Have you need of this?” Richard offers the stranger the small umbrella he had been carrying, still folded despite the noble being soaked. “I’m guessing you not used to the rain here, most are not; it hasn’t fallen like this since any can remember.”

          ✬—Ponderous eyes watched the movements of a lone dove as it preened its wings. Alaster seemed to be making note of every detail he could manage into a small notebook, hoping his logo designer could use it as a reference. “Something’s not right about this drawing.” He frowned and turned to the person nearest to him, pointing with the back end of his pen. “You there. Which part of this sketch looks off to you?”

The girl sat happily up in the tree, oden hanging from her mouth as she looked over the area. Just a small break before she decided to take a break before going to explore the ruins. A blink as she noticed a person before dropping down.”Ahoy!! Whatcha doin explorin alone?”

     It was the sound of the door opening that drew Mikleo’s attention from his textbook, his gaze flitting towards that of his roommate & best friend. A bookmark was thus placed inside the textbook, being laid aside gently. 

      “...You look like you’ve had a fun day.” Mikleo said sarcastically, glancing over Sorey. If anything, he looked like Sorey hadn’t slept in days. It was near the end of the semester, so Mikleo wouldn’t be surprised if that was actually the case. “...You’ve been cramming all night again, haven’t you?”

         “My my, aren’t you a pretty boy. You’d have a good shot at modeling, you know?” Was Chat messing with him? Yes. Was this because he was bored? Also yes.

The wind seraph would be giving a wide yawn as he sat atop the roof of a wagon, the village he was looking after preparing to move once more--such was their way of life as nomads. He had looked over these people for a few generations, knew everyone by name, but not once had anyone been born who could see him. The villagers used to respect him, honor him with gifts, but that time had long past. Instead...Lios decided to take his offerings whilst the others were unaware--some seeds to munch on one day, a vegetable the next day. 

He hadn’t expected to be caught red handed. 

     “It’s my right to have this, right? Don’t look at me...don’t look at me like that! They keep forgetting to give me offerings, so I just borrow some, that’s all! And how come your eyes are so special and you can see me, hm? You...must be cheating somehow!”

As if to accentuate his words, a soft gust of wind would buffet the other, a small show of his nervousness. He wasn’t scared--it’s just been so long since anyone actually saw him that he was a little intimidated.
