      Isana was happy to pass the task away to Seneca. She had spent every year before crawling under the christmas tree grabbing presents. It wasn’t quite what Isana would consider enjoyable, “Minnie remember after you open one to look at mommy and show it off so I can take a photo of you. You too Seneca.” Isana had her phone in hand and ready to capture all the holiday merriment.

        Minette ran over to the presents, practically dragging Seneca behind her. Bouncing on her feet as he pulled out the box. In order to read it, she put a small finger under the letters and sounded out the word before realizing it was a gift for her, “It says Minnie!”

          ✬​—”That’s right!” he praised, clapping his hands together. "Don’t forget to thank whoever gave it to you, too!” After a moment, he finally registered what Isana said and blinked in confusion. “Me?” Are there gifts for me? He didn’t even consider that he’d be receiving anything, aside from, well, maybe gifts from Isa and Minnie. “I’ll do my best to remember, but sorry in advance if I get too excited! Right, Minnie?” He grinned at her with a wink. “What’d you get??”

     “You’re seriously the best.” Amelia was definitely trying to do a million things at a time. Currently she was wrapping gimbap, and soon she would move on to pigs in a blanket. She was trying to make a little bit of everything so any kid would enjoy it, “My beginner ballet class is having a christmas party. It’s the only group of ballet that I teach and probably my youngest group. They all were really excited, when I promised them a bunch of different foods, so I have to make them all. Don’t want to disappoint them when they’ve been talking about it for weeks.”

          ✬​—He laughed softly at the praise, but shook his head. “It’s really nothing...” It was really no surprise to Yijun that Amelia was so good with kids. She was always so caring and thoughtful, and she would always follow through if she promised something. That was what was so special about her. “W-Well, I’d be excited, too, if you offered to cook for me. I can only do this much,” he admitted, gesturing to the chopped ingredients around the table. “Once it comes to putting things on the stove... I get too nervous and end up undercooking or burning it...”
