So @discoursecatharsis and many others found this is going on over at Twitter 

I...I have no words. Do they seriously not realize how dangerous this is? Antis have made it so much easier for predators to access minors online. From using what people like in fiction as the sole red flag (and, y’know, not how they actually interact with people online) to this - outright saying “look here, if someone has this emoji in their bio they’re a safe adult”. What this does is give predators a way to feign being “safe”. So congrats antis. Like always, you’ve played yourselves. 

Minors, if you see an adult saying stuff like this, run like hell. Adults should not be 1) going out of their way to lure minors to their accounts (under the guise of being “safe”) and 2) encouraging minors to engage in harassment campaigns (and in the case of this specific tweet, outright violence).

Yikes. For the record this is the person that banned an artist from a food zine because they found out the artist shipped sheith. Like sure buddy you’re definitely the pinnacle of morality as you wish for someone to fall down the stairs and break their legs. I’m so tired of these people.

These people are damn ridiculous I can’t even. 

1. I’m not a fandom mom. Nor do I want to be. 

2. “Big bad minors”? Seriously? I’m not threatened by y’all I’m just tired of you. 

3. Adults can be abuse victims too. Also stop acting like you anti-fujoshi/anti-shipper/anti-whatever-in-fiction/purity police, or whatever you call yourselves are all abuse victims and that gives them the right to be total assholes to strangers online who are minding their business. 

4. I don’t even have any incest ships. (For the record, that doesn’t mean I care if someone else does. I stand by ship and let ship. If I don’t want to see it, I’ll just blacklist the tag and move on with my life). So this person just made a wild assumption to somehow discredit what I said in my initial tweet. 

Either way, they somehow managed to both miss my point but also prove it.

Sigh. This is why I didn’t reblog that first post. Antis are so disingenuous. Don’t say you give a shit about cyberbullying but then put out takes like this. If you actually cared about cyberbullying, you wouldn’t associate yourself with a group of people who are known for it.

The funny thing is, this was in response to a post that wasn't even about anti vs. anti-anti/pro-shipper discourse. We could post something about volunteering at an animal shelter and these people would still probably comment stuff like this.
