I still think of this thing my bosses would do at my first workplace and it continues to makes me annoyed more than 10 years later.

See they would do regular performance reviews and the first one they did they said I did a good job so they were gonna increase my wage (from minimum) by 50c. And they did this multiple times over the years - which you might think "oh that's great!".

It was not. Because I was very aware that every time the minimum wage nationally increased by 50c at most a week after the performance review.

These mfs really thought I didn't know what the minimum wage was - when I was making it.

I need to know how stupid tax bullshit works this year before I go through with Operation: Coast (where I quit my job with my shitty co-workers and manic as fuck boss and rely on savings for the next few months while I wrap up my LPN).

Its crazy!

Entire countries are being shut down and people are told to quarantine. I deliver pizzas. My job is to go up to possibly sick peoples take their money and give them shitty food. Even before the pandemic thing I was getting some kind of sickness almost once a month. Today someone dressed in what seemed to be hazmat gear handed me a ziploc bag with money in it and says "I have corona, but don't worry I sprayed lysol in there" at least he gave me a $10 tip I guess. I also found out today that my boss fired someone for asking for hazard pay. This same man yelled at me last week for washing my hands. What is Florida?
