can we talk about that steve harrington edit thats been going around?? and how much i hate it???
call me 'sensitive' 'too woke', whatever, idgaf, this edit is homophobic, and its pissing me off.
if you don't know what im talking about, there's an edit that's been finding its way over and over again to my youtube reccomended, and im pretty sure it came from somewhere on tiktok, but all in all, it's been getting pretty popular, and ive seen it pop up on my feed many times.
it starts out normal, with a clip of will's coming out scene, and it gets to the point where he says "I don't like girls", and then it cuts to the clip from when steve got mad at robin for telling that innapropriate joke earlier in the episode where he says: "What the hell is wrong with you?" then it cuts to the edit.
and it's not even just this that makes me mad, it's all the comments and shit. ive seen this video in those fucking "ranking steve harrington edits" videos, and ive seen this as placed #1. NUMBER. ONE.
and the comments or captions are always something like: "W steve" or "Steve saying what we've all been thinking"...im SORRY?? who in the ever loving FUCK is we.
and ik its meant to be a joke, but even so steve wouldn't say that 😭his best friend is literally a lesbian woman did we watch the same show??
TL;DR--edit going around that makes steve look like hes saying "wtf is wrong with you" ab will liking boys, ga is eating it up, and its pissing me off
