Guess what??
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!
things that have happened in geography
we’ve had a protest over one test question
we had another
we all went crazy for this, we made posters, burnt the message on wood, spammed the google classroom, threatened to call a lawyer, we made a chant. It got so bad that our teacher had to call in another teacher to pick an answer
one student called one of our teachers a sadist
another compared one of our teachers to donald trump
that teacher photocopied a worksheet with a penis that my friend drew on so now 5 students have worksheets with penises on them
we ordered 14 pizzas for a party without the teacher’s knowledge nor permission
we didn’t do work because of this party
whoops
another teacher from came in without knocking and the two began “fighting”
we’ve had several periods doing nothing
my friend rejected that teacher when he said hi so now he picks on her (as a joke, she’s chill)
used a 10 hours long remix of a yh boi and shooting star meme as intense music for a game of rock paper scissors to pick whether we continued kahoot or not
played kahoot for the entire lesson
peered pressure that teacher into chugging half a bottle of mountain dew
had that teacher play multiple games including chicken scream
gave one teacher a goodbye card (the one that did all the above)
gave the nice one a sentimental pizza box with pizza
but now it’s gonna end cause we’re moving to history for the rest of the year
i just wanna point out that my class is meant to be the smartest and most sensible class in our grade.imjj im not even joking.
okay, this is gonna be shitty storytime
but
I'm really emotional now and it's because of my girlfriend's parents. We are both bisexual, my parents know about us and kinda even ship us, but her parents are homophobic so for them i'm just a good friend of their daughter. We've met two years ago on a camp during summer and since then we've been keeping in touch. We talked, we exchanged memes, got exicited about music that we both like and fandoms that we're both in. It was fun and I felt very safe and happy talking with her. Last year we went to the same camp again (intentionally) and had a lot of fun. Our friendship got to a new level, long skype conversations at night, funny photos and more intimate talks. I wanted to see her again that year so I insisted on visiting her for New Year.
And I did it. She lives about 250 km from me. It was the first time that I travelled by train so far and alone. But it was so much fun. They were three amazing days. It was then, when I realised that maybe we are actually something more than friends but I wasn't sure and of course I didn't want to ruin what was between us. We left some things unspoken and it was really bothering me.
Since september last year (2017) I have been going on therapy. I talked about all sorts of stuff, her as well. My therapist encpuraged me to ask her about her feelings towards me - if she says yes, that's fricking awesome, if she says no, then well, we are still gonna be amazing friends.
As you already know, her answer was yes. It was in the beginning of February, I think. Since then we are oficially together. In May, during spring break I visited her with my mom for three days. I couldn't go alone due to my mental health problems - anxiety and several depression episodes. All of it happend this year. I changed school, I went to psychatrist, I started taking meds and she was by my side, supporting me. During my May visit we kissed for the first time, we held hands in public for the first time, we cooked together a meal and we were so fucking happy.
Today is 5th of July. I visited her twice this year, so our plan was to get her here on holidays. But there is no chance. Her parents won't let her. They are homophobic and even though she didn't told them about her orientation or about our relationship they may feel that something's happening because their only argument is 'no'. My birthday is in three days, on Sunday. If she doesn't come, then I will have to spend it alone. My good friend goes on camp on Saturnday, my mom has exams in diffrent city whole weekend, my dad has some kind of lecture both, Saturnday and Sunday and she cannot come.
That year's birthday is really important to me. Not only because it's my last birthday before I'm 'an adult' but also it's a fucking miracle I'm still here to enjoy it. Yes, I've been suicidal this year. But I made it. And I will have to celebrate it on my own. I cannot even go to the city, have a 'me' day because I live in a middle of nowhere and without my parents I am not able to get to the city. I am stuck here, alone.
Fucking great.
The moral of the story is - love your loved ones, be happy when your parents aren't homophobic and when your partner doesn't live 250 km away from you. Also, if you can celebrate your birthday with your friends - be happy and thankful for that. And if you don't have mental health problems, as well.
my geography class is playing an hour remix of yeah boy shooting star remix as intense music for a game of rock paper scissors to pick a category for kahoot update: the teacher just rick rolled us
