Inktober Shitty Concept Art day 4: Glowing Mushrooms for "Deep in the Woods" @lonelytofu World building. IDK how these fit in yet. Maybe growing in abandonded buildings or deep inside the tree. Glowing mushrooms are cool.

Well, here we are, Day One of Shitty Concept Art. Overgrown Ruins @lonelytofu combined with Urban @semmyjart. This is a modern city for my upcoming (I hope) NaNo project. Most buildings are abandoned and in various stages of collapse. The few occupied ones have converted some floors to edible plants, subject to availability and tolerance for the conditions. It might be part of the decór in one of the locations, a zombie-apocalypse-themed gym one of the characters frequents. Not happy with the sky and the photo lost some detail. A lot of detail, maybe. Oh well. Pens are lovely, though.
The person with a very rudimentary undestanding of perspective and vanishing points picked literally the hardest thing to draw. Hey! This concrete fountain! With all kinds of straight-but-not-right-angles and interlocking blocks and several layers of depth! Great idea! Woo! I'm debating coloring it or quitting while I'm ahead. Lineart, anyway. Inktober day 6 -- I'm behind by one day. Prompts "Rocky Ruins" (concrete counts, right?) from @lonelytofu and "Abandoned" from @semmyjart. Thanks for these prompts I like combining them. A public art-installation fountain, abandoned, the imported trees dying without regular care and grass running rampant.
Inktober Day 12. It's supposed to be "Path Along the Water" but I got too cute and tried to do the wood cave thing again with the mound in the center looking like a cross between rimstone dams and weathered wood grain but ended up not really either one. The entrance to the cave, and the source of the water, is at the back. Oh well. Probably do something creepy with too many eyes tomorrow. I am immersed in my new game book.
Inktober Day 5. Combo prompt from @lonelytofu "Cave Entrance" and @semmyjart "Tropical." As shitty concept art, a mural in the Zombie-themed gym. New York after global warming.
pencil work on Inktober 7
I look at what I’m trying to draw for Inktober and just think this is way beyond my ability. I should have picked an easier reference. it’s not going to work
but I guess that’s kinda the point
Inktober, Day 2. Shitty Concept Art: "Tree Island" for Nature Untouched, @semmyjart. I don't know that it fits into my worldbuilding. I like the trees anchoring the sand and other plants growing in their shadow, gradually expanding, unless the dunes shift. Referenced a photo from my vacation to the coast. I also discovered I can color over the fine black pens and they don't bleed everywhere. I've only ever had crap markers before. I could have read the label *bonks self* Probably play around a little more tomorrow.
