he knows exactly who dave strider is. who doesn’t on earth c? his agent told him numerous times that having the opportunity to work with him is something lanque should never slander or ignore. that his career will go nowhere if he screws this up. but he can’t help but screw up. making excuses for someone to put their hands on him, blocking him in all the right places and paying him that oh-so-important extra bit of attention.

lanque knows he’s trying the other castmates’ patience and is simply living for it, but the only person that seems to keep even an inkling of composure is that stupid, perfect director. everyone else has been given the opportunity to take a break, but the troll is ‘paying for it’ by spending some extra time with dave to understand what exactly he has to do.

so lanque does. bored, trained eye following dave’s equally blank expression. he acts much more with his body than he does with his face, even when presenting how to do a scene. after asking if he’s ready to give it a go, lanque uncrosses his arms allowing dave to take the place of his partner in this scene.

and this is when he starts giving a shit. lanque doesn’t stumble over his lines, stuttering to show the panic and fear, even adding more than dave's example. grabbing onto his shirt, conveying being completely fed up as the scene called for. a bit of... improv, he’ll call it whenever he’s asked. it’s when he finishes his last line that he almost shrinks back into his former state of boredom. as if he’s exposed too much of his own experience with heartache.

but it never stays. lanque twitches back into a predatory grin, hand on his hip and asking “ was that good for you, baby? or do you wanna go over it again with more of an... intimate touch? ”

OKAY.

1.) We All Know What It’s Gonna Be. Karezi. Literally In Every Quadrant.

SO. OKAY. I’ve shipped Karezi since like. The damn beginning. I honestly can’t even tell when I started shipping them, but it happened quick and hard and I OBSESSED. HARD. This ship was my BIG SPECIAL INTEREST. I had multiple custom phone cases that were Karezi art. They were the first pairing I actually looked up fanfic for. I drew nothing but Karezi art all of freshman year-sophmore year.

I ended up falling off the ship a couple years ago because I wasn’t tooooo into Homestuck anymore and also like. Fandom be like if u ship karezi ur a freak and just :/ bullshit.

BUT. Look.

I love them. Karkat cares SO MUCH for Terezi? He invited her to move next door to him so he can look after he because he’s like: you’re blind living alone in the forest please for the love of God.

He wanted her in every fucking quadrant dude!! He wanted ONLY Terezi!!! And Terezi cares SO MUCH about Karkat like. Hello? She’s a teal blood and he’s a mutant. She knew his blood color since probably day one. And I rb’d a post about it BUT rewatching HS Terezi makes a comment to Dave that said, “And you type in delicious candy red and don’t hide your blood color like a wriggler” and iirc I think this was BEFORE she told Karkat she knew his blood color? But I thought that tidbit was interesting.

She reassured him everyone still respects and cares about him. She uplifts him a lot even though they bicker like a cute old married couple all the time. I know this girl would protect Karkat with her own life. (Like. Looks over at Redglare and Signless. Coughs.)

And KARKAT does the same for Terezi!! He assured her she was amazing and brave and just an overall wonderful person when she was depressed and he APOLOGIZED for being a dumbass teen and how he regrets fucking things up with her but DESPITE THAT HE STILL WANTED!! TO BE THERE. AND LIKE. CARE ABOUT HER. HE DIDN’T CARE THAT LIKE HE FUCKED UP THEIR RELATIONSHIP HE STILL WANTED TO BE THERE FOR HER,,, CAUSE HE LOVES HER,,

When Terezi was being chokeheld by Gamzee in Game Over Karkat went fucking INSANE and went and immediately got himself killed because he was immediate like I NEED 2 SAVE HER and just. cries;;

Karkat was the FIRST one to finally fucking see Terezi was suffering with Gamzee and went to talk to her and do shit about it because NO ONE ELSE WAS GONNA. AND HE SAT THERE AND TALKED WITH HER. TRIED GIVING HER A PEP TALK. HE CARES. HE LOVES HER.

And like. When Terezi was talking and flirting with Dave, Kiwi points out how much.. Terezi compared Dave to Karkat. LIke. IT WAS A LOT. Like he’s ALWAYS on her mind, I think. Like. Now, I do ship daverezi BUT. I also kinda think that Terezi mostly started dating Dave and flirted with him because Dave like. Wasn’t difficult and was like “wow you’re like Karkat but better because you don’t play games”

BUT YEAH LIKE YOU KNOW I WENT OFF ENOUGH BUT PLEASE I LOVE THEM;;

2.) Roserezi - Black OR Red, depending.

There’s like not a lot of active Rose RPers atm but I sob. Roserezi is such a sleepy ship and I’ve shipped it since their interaction on LOLAR. They bounce off each other so well and are so funny. I def ship them more blackrom tbh because they are so snarky with each other and Terezi in canon, first interaction, “we are destined to be hatefriends forever!”

they both have like a respect for the other but they still just. piss each other off. rose is so like. ‘pretentious’ and ‘more mature’ while terezi is like. a feral lil goblin. both can easily do shit on purpose to piss each other off and it’s just so funny

Also they both can like. BOND over their shared addiction trauma? Seer buddies? Rose talking with Jaspers age fucking 5 and Terezi talking with her scalemates? come on.

3.) Johnrezi - Quad dont matter tbh- KDFJ

Lol. GONNA BE HONEST. NEVER DID LIKE JOHNREZI AT FIRST. When it was first a thing I didn’t like it and had it blacklisted. Grew to being whatever about it but like. Interactions with Eddie? Okay. I love them now. LMAO.

They both just bicker and fight in the funniest ways and just like. Mostly Terezi pissing John off BUT THEM BOTH LIKE. IN THE END OF THE DAY CARING ABOUT EACH OTHER A LOT YK?? Like.

They BOTH remember the old timeline and BOTH like. Have same coping mechanisms and both feeling so detached from everyone but they both like. have each other? okay? aaaaa? they’re v good and i love

4.) Daverezi - Red or Pale

Okay I didn’t ship Daverezi at first but in my older years. They’re good. They’re super funny! And like.. They’ve been through a lot together, you know? I mostly am swung to this bias because of Vienna, but like Dave and Terezi have good potential and I def like. Eyes emoji on them yk?

And I don’t have a fifth actually because . Gestures. STICKS LEGGY UP THO JUST MEANS I NEED MORE SHIP DYNAMICS Y’ALL-
