Next day I asked, where can I get a Guru? And he smiles and touches his heart and says the only Guru is your own heart dearie or words to that effect and adds – you’ll know your Guru when you see him because you’ll love him, otherwise don’t bother. “ (Allen Ginsberg in letter to Jack Kerouac, May 11, 1962 from Essential Ginsberg, Ed Michael Schumacher) #rishikesh #india #ganges #garysnyder #peterorlovksy #jackkerouac #allenginsberg #joannekyger #shivananda #beatgeneration #writers #poets #poetry #poetrycommunity #theessentialginsberg (at Rishikesh) https://www.instagram.com/p/CemTt2Or31-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

At Navy Pier in Chicago just a few days before come back in Greece, full of thoughts and new ideas for the future. Back after 30 plus months traveling around the world with a new perspective and a desire to create something new that includes a little bit of everything I've lived. Something new that will make the journey even more interesting while it continuous in a new basis. I know well by now that the exploration of our inner self never stops and the changes that happen inside are the ones that make the journey more fascinating while we become stronger and come closer to our true self. I am in a new phase, planting seeds and potentially seeing what grows. I am exciting and with open heart to the new. 😊back in Greece. #Repost per the courtesy of @janetstoneyoga ・・・ I honor my teacher’s teachings. . . With every step they took they built the foundation that I stand on. With every teaching I offer I do my very best to bring to life their shared wisdom and pay tribute to the sacrifices they made to share the healing, unifying art and science of yoga. . . This is not a path for the faint of heart and for those who are newer on it who imagine they can get by with showing only the shiny side and presenting themselves as if they don’t stand on the shoulders of all those who came before, well, the dirt eventually finds our feet and we must walk through it and dig in to find the roots of these teachings. . . At times I get pulled into the surface expression of what yoga is being sold as, but, gratefully, I’ve pounded the path my teachers showed me and return to the depth of it again and again. . . Their guidance lives in my heart and supports me in remembering that it’s not about me...I’m just passing through and holding the thread of the teachings as I make my way. . . Remember the path paved by those who have come before. Honor their foot steps. . . . Their is NO branding in yoga, it is a free practice that permeates many forms and no one can own it except the ONE. . . . Those who battle and try to “win” yoga are already loosing ——the heart of the teachings. . . . Yoga ...to yoke, unify, unite apparent opposite forces. . . . #teacher #reverence #thankyou #youcantwinyoga #nobrand #dirtyfeet #yoga #one #union #honoryourteachers @maxstrominneraxis @premrawatfoundation #shivananda #shoalin #shadow #qigong @jaiuttal #bhakti @rustywellsyoga #luyi @dharmayogacenter @bryan_kest 📸 by @konjinius —————————— Feet will be dirty regardless with yogis/yoginis are not immune to this.
