One of Murphy’s problems is corners - why? I have no idea - dogs learn differently - they associate things with situations - that’s why shock collars don’t work - when they’re getting buzzed they don’t realize they’re getting shocked because they’re doing something bad - they think there’s a pain in their neck because there’s a child next to them - or there’s a scary thing around the corner - so they react based on that - and poor Murphy was trained with a prong and shock collar for the first 8 months of his life - so he is going to have to deal with that for the rest of his life. So he’ll stand here and freak out because he thinks something bad is going to happen - but over time he’s going to build new pathways in his brain and learn that nothing bad ever happens in this room except for the awful singing that comes out of my mouth http://you wouldbeshocked.ca #shockcollarssuck #shocked #youwouldbeshocked #murphythepoodle #halifax #novascotia #halifaxdogsofinstagram #dogkisserinternationalheadquarters (at Dogkisser International Headquarters) https://www.instagram.com/p/CA5kewqnQlL/?igshid=1fzhunxuh4itw
