Big project for dinner tonight. Shell Beans and Summer Vegetables Stewed in Their Own Juices from Local Flavors by Deborah Madison. It wasn’t a difficult recipe, just time consuming. Luckily everything is chopped big, which helps. Everything just barely fit in the Dutch oven. It was really tasty and a little sweet from the squash and tomatoes. With the basil purée, it was especially delicious. I got fresh cranberry beans for the shelling beans and they were so pretty.
