POST-GORATH SHOCKIRUS

Mentioned this fellow back in that Post-Gorath Toho World map. Upon a flooded Earth that was nearly destroyed by the rogue star Gorath, one of Godzilla's skin parasites is possessed by Yog the Space Amoeba and grows to colossal size. What is Yog's plan? And how was Red Bamboo able to cut a deal with it? What did they offer it?

Also liked the idea of combining Showa and Heisei sensibilities. The Space Amoeba monsters are as Showa as you can get, and what's more Heisei than Shockirus? I became a Godzilla fan back in 2001 or so, back when it was only those two seemingly diametrically opposed eras (and Godzilla 2000). But that didn't stop people from mixing them together anyways into a interesting little hoodsie of a universe.

Anybody else think there’s similarities between Shockirus from ‘Return of Godzilla’ and the Sea Scarabs from ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’?

So, for $48 you can get this guy served with a bowl of ramen in Taiwan!

Just your typical carnivorous sea louse that lives between 550 and 7,000 feet under the sea.

The thing is, this guy ain’t much smaller than Shockirus, the mutated killer louse that attacked Toro Maki in The Return of Godzilla (1985).

Manda as a Tanystropheus.

Manda's serpentine lóng/chinese dragon body isn't very impressive when his co-stars are Godzilla, Anguirus, Ghidorah, and the rest. Compared to them, he's a generic sea serpent. But he's not without charm.

Tanytropheus is a good fit. Aquatic, serpentine, predatory, charming, etc. Also, I like the idea that no one knew that he wasn't a sea serpent until one time when he walks onto land.
