I based the design off of Senator Shockwave, rather than current Shockwave. I imagine it's like plastic surgery, you can change the exterior but the DNA stays the same?

Skywarp thinks he's adorable and is considering asking for more. But Shockwave doesn't find it logical, because carrying impeded on his work and Blitzar will have family through the trine, with Starscream and Thundercracker's sparklings.

Every time I see blitzar it kills me a little because you managed to make him look SO much like senator shockwave to me somehow. If he got his carriers original colors I think a moon would have exploded. That baby has an emotional damage AOE attack and he doesn’t even know it yet

I started thinking about my trine baby au and their home life

Soundwave and Thundercracker live together on the nemesis. They have a habsuite with enough room for the cassettes to have their private space. But it's usually left unused, because they're all clingy and sleep in a pile. Thundercracker is the perfect bed. It's their little home. Soundwave doesn't mind having his family around, because he is pretty family oriented. And Thundercracker has his trine bond, so they are also his family and welcome to spend the night.

Skywarp and Shockwave actually DON'T share a berth. Shockwave is usually on Cybertron, and Skywarp actually joins Thundercracker most nights. Though Skywarp loves to go to Cybertron to visit his wife and maybe bother his work. Shockwave has a room for them there, and it's where Blitzar usually stays. When Shockwave comes to Earth, he actually doesn't mind staying with Soundwave and Thundercracker. Though, he prefers to take the spare, rarely used, room with Skywarp and Blitzar. So basically, when they're all on Earth, they all share a hab.

Starscream and Optimus are a bit complicated. Optimus allows Starscream to spend the night whenever he wants. His hab is usually empty anyways. It's not grand either, but it's comfortable. Starscream has made it a bit of a home, with his own personal things lying around. However, Starscream and Optimus don't spend nights together often. Starscream is usually in the lab with Wheeljack and Ratchet, and sometimes falls asleep there. Much to Ratchet's anger. Optimus is usually doing work and falls asleep while in the middle of it. Much to Ratchet's anger. It's odd... having someone waiting for you. Or waiting for someone. They are adjusting, and it's kinda nice.

Starscream also sometimes visits his Trine, and they cuddle pile, but Optimus never joins.
