It’s a weird kinda gnarly fight so it’s not a perfect comp but Shoeface is fighting the same sort of fight that saw him getting finished by Dan Kelly. Just desperate hunger for the takedown no matter the risks.

Yup. #ShoeFace. (at United States)
Second round sub for Antonio Carlos Junior!
Really interesting performance from Antonio Carlos Junior in a good way. We're coming a long from "getting TKO'd by Grandpa Kelly" back in Australia. Carlos Junior is so powerful on the ground and Spicely just kept trying to go there and find that hail mary. Didn't happen and here we go! Second round rear naked from Antonio Carlos Junior who continues to slowly recover from the loss to Dan Kelly.
Shoeface gets the submission win over Antonio Leleco
Antonio Carlos Junior defeats bad refereeing and decides to just go back to his bread and butter. He outwrestled Leleco who by the time the second round was over was in "waiting to get finished" mode. He did NOTHING and Carlos Junior just sliced and diced through his gaurd, took his back repeatedly and then in the third round, it was a matter of when. He got Leleco's back, stretched his guard out and then submitted him with a RNC. Almost secured a neck crank.
On one hand, Carlos Junior's wins are oh so pretty if you like the ground game. He's a hyper active super aggressive grappler who chases necks and dominates opponents on the ground. At the same time, his losses have been BRUTAL. Against Pat Cummins he was dominated by a bigger, stronger opponent but he lost to Daniel Kelly who is essentially in so many words, just a judo toss and ground and pound. He's young though and 185 is one of the lowkey older divisions in MMA so a young guy like him is going to get plenty of chances.
Speaking of chances, IF A GUY KEEPS GRABBING THE FENCE, TAKE A POINT! MAYBE NOT THE FIRST TIME BUT DEFINITELY THE SEVENTEENTH TIME!
THESE fucking point deductions, man.
Come on, man.
#shoeface lol
