Question for you guys!

So, I’m writing this soulmate!au mega manga!asshole kise enemies to lovers prompt from my WIP list, and all, but I’m wondering if you guys would rather have this out in parts (like a whole series), or one GIANT oneshot (which is more suited for AO3). What do you u guys think, since you’re my readers, I’d like to ask for your opinion^^ I’m asking because well… It’s getting a bit long and it might not get into the “reader” action right away. And it might lag on tumblr mobile, especially… Anyways feel free to answer!

I'M BACK EVERYONE!... from an unannounced hiatus

I SINCERELY APOLOGIZED FOR LEAVING EVERYONE UP IN THE AIR FOR THE PAST HALF-YEAR. That was totally my bad, but I didn't expect to be gone for so long from all the back-to-back things happening in my uni--phew!

Winter break is here and so am I! Here's my plan of action: relearn what hashtags I use b/c I forgot, finish 3 remaining matchups (already done! just needa post), and finally work on requests again hehe super eggcited

Most of you guys are probably gone and moved on from KNB (understandable) onto other fandoms, but hey, I'll just be vibing here :^)

1K FOLLOWERS? + WIP update

HOLY CATS?? Y’ALL CRAZY— I’m making this post to first THANK YOU for choosing to follow me (now why would you do that, I have no clue…) and reading my works <3 Gosh it’s been a year-and-a-half?? Time passed by a little too fast😭

I won’t be doing a milestone event this time (until MUCH LATER). My priority right now is to finish up YOUR requests and other WIPS sitting in my inbox.

Speaking of WIPS, some of you may be hearing some wind about my progress on the manga!kise enemies-to-lovers!soulmate!au, where I asked in a recent post about whether you wanted a GIANT oneshot or a series… here’s the verdict:

@seijurosempress , @jae-yoonie , @carinacassiopeiae , @thesongstressayre … Looks like I’ll be doing this as my first KNB series👀

@cutleryspoons , @thepeachesclub … Rest assured that even though this will be broken up into a series, I will be writing the ENTIRE series first in my docs, before posting it all in one go, so it’s bingeable (so there is no “wait” or “downtime” on these chapters). Because of this, it may be a while until you see any new works;;

Hopefully you guys can be patient;; I’ve already have the entire plot planned out and the first chapter roughly completed, with progress on chapter 2~

But everyone, thank you for sticking by me all this time 🥺🥺 LOOK FORWARD TO MORE DUMB FICS AND HEADCANONS FROM ME… even if updates are slow 😔

My Thoughts on the KNB English Dub (entire S1)

Of course, I prefer watching sub over dub for anime series, but I’m no stranger to the English VA industry, as I’ve played huge RPG games with fantastic English dub casts! I guess I’m mentioning this here to let you know that I’m quite impartial to the dub vs sub fiasco, and if it sounds good or not I’ll say it as such

- Kagami: he’s a mixed bag, a lot of times he sounds dry/douchey, but the other times he sounds nearly identical to the og VA?? like i am conflicted. mega conflicted😭

- Seirin teammates: they sound fine, I have no complaints

- Kuroko: SOUNDS SUPER GOOD BUT MAYBE IT’S BC IM BIASED TO KHOI DAO...... but he really suits Kuroko

- Riko: I LOVE HER VA MWAH CHEF’S KISS

- Teppei: he especially sounds good in english!

- Shutoku’s coach: HONORABLE MENTION BECAUSE HE SOMEHOW SOUNDS COPY-PASTE LIKE THE OG VA I’M SO SHOOK??? he even got the HMMMM down 100% exactly the same?? what sorcery is that?

- Kise: sounds great (no one can beat Kimuro Ryohei though); the Kurokocchi pronunciations can need improvement but I won’t fault them because we don’t have any nicknames like that in the English language

- Midorima/Takao: they sound super good, they managed to capture the same dynamic together like the og VAs did I mention Takao sounds especially good? and i LIVE for Midorima’s dubbed insults it’s SO FUNNY HELP HIS NEANDERTHAL LINE WAS TOO IN CHARACTER

- Aomine: sounds very identical! I dig his voice

- Momoi: I love her, she sounds so adorable please marry me 🥺

- Murasakibara: voiced by Robbie Daymond, one of the most talented VAs right now (think of Akechi Goro from P5), he does capture the childish surface personality, even without the iconic drawls the japanese VA did! the OVA “Tip-Off” where Murisakibara was pissed about his yummy sticks REALLY showcased his ability to voice him! very excited to see him in the Winter Cup match 👀

- Akashi: we don’t see much of him other than that OVA, he sounds a bit older, but he still has the calm and calculated quality to that voice, so I will give that a pass for now

- TLDR; i think the castings are done alright! except like.... probably Kagami but it’s odd because he sounds great in certain moments, but so jarring in normal conversation

SEASON 2? I’m antsy to see who they have for Hanamiya ngl and I’m a little apprehensive to hear more of Akashi

I have a question for u! So you know how in the last ep of knb where serin wins the winter cup... what if THEY NEVER DID? and rakuzan ended up winning? do u think it wouldve still changed akashi's "absolute" mindset along with bringing together the rest of the gom? ive always wondered this !

Akashi would’ve been the same “absolute” captain of Rakuzan and it would look like everything is gonna be hopeless, BUT…

It doesn’t change the fact that Seirin still defeated the teams of the other GoMs, and I think that after watching Seirin v. Rakuzan, even if Seirin lost instead, that all the GoMs would be motivated to try to help Kuroko by defeating Rakuzan when they have their own matchups against the school… if that makes sense? So I think regardless with the outcome of the final game, the GoM (excluding Akashi) would be brought together.

I think once Bokukashi sees the GoMs trying their hardest on the courts and being the complete opposite of their Teiko-selves, he’ll start to thaw out a.k.a. re-evaluate his stance on basketball (but not completely). I really do think this man needs an actual defeat (and therapy after tbh) to shake him out of his “absolute” persona.

BUT AGAIN THIS IS JUST MY OWN SPECULATION 😭😭 AN INTERESTING QUESTION THO, THANK YOU ANON👀‼️
