wow i always become completely incoherent about this time of night so here goes but

ty is very special to me. i identify with his insecurities, with his fear of failure, his fear of not living up to his potential, his fear of not possessing potential. i connect with him more deeply than almost anyone else. that must be an amusing thought to those who think of him as a pair of caterpillar eyebrows floating in a puddle of mild midcentury sex appeal but ty and i are alike in many ways. i love him and when i’m a Big Girl i’m going to beat the drum on his behalf because i don’t want people to forget him.

and ty was well-known for being the kindest, gentlest star in hollywood. the man’s ego was the size of a cherry pit. rarely have i heard a single person actually go on the record to speak against him—and even then there’s a caveat about how he was going through a difficult time and how any thoughtlessness was completely uncharacteristic of him. a part of him was just so childlike, so exquisitely fragile. a perfect movie star, an imperfect man, but a great love of mine nonetheless.
