Happy Valentine’s Day
Each time there is a mass shooting the world is heart-broken, shocked and silenced. However, we are almost at a point of feeling numb to the senseless violence. The numbers and statistics are there to support more common sense gun laws. Why has the government taken so long to protect citizens? Why is there so little in place to prevent innocent students from being killed in their schools? What will it take for Senators to change their minds? For Congress? For the President to finally make a difference that would make him go down as one of the most successful and influential presidents of the United States? Does one of their loved ones have to be hurt? Do they have to hear the deafening sound of an assault rifle? Why should innocent people suffer, then attempt to make a difference only to meet strong opposition from those rich few in power? Politicians should be fighting this fight. They have the power, the resources, and the support all readily available. Stop being in the NRA's pocket. Make a change, save lives!
