It’s a new year with a new sense of urgency to continue making art and try to safely get back to life. Over the past months it has been challenging to put meaningful purpose to art making, but to quote @jerrysaltz’s recent message to artists, “Your mood swings of lockdown don’t matter. Get to work you big babies. xo.” That quote hits home for me. Putting in “the work” has built longevity into my art career and has been a major factor in the successes I have had, both great and small. (often it is the small successes that mean the most.)
