I really like whole fight with Pink, her design and everything

But that moment when, after defeathing her, we return to the shop and see her with Orange, watching sunset and enjoying every moment they still have left to spend together… that’s really moved me to the core

I also wanted to draw what Pink might look like in the shop, without all the stage accessories

DELTARUNE CHAP 5 SPOILERS

this. This is and has been my favourite and most emotional moment in deltarune. THIS FUCKING SCENE. OH MY GOD. FUCKKKKKKK So like, I was just doing the coin collection, approached the door, and was confused why ralsei and susie were being so goofy about it. Then I saw the boss(well I kinda expected it as hinted at from the castle town dialogue) but I was like, Oh cool! Mew mew!. And then, her being a big sis to orange, then her new sprites, whoa cool! and then the attacks are epic. Wowie! THEN like, the shit about accepting your body and allowing it to both love and want and everything adding onto all the stuff from undertale. THEN THAT SCENE, the green strings, that whole thing arghushdusxz I need to rewatch that and figure it out. Okay so overall pretty cool secret boss even though theres less direct buildup, and whats the shopkeeper have to do with her? THEN I RETURN TO THE SHOP, AND MY ASS REALISES. OH IT'S HER. THEN THE MUSIC, THE SUNSET(the shop was already one of my favourite parts I didnt realise it was her). THEN THE RECONTEXtUALISATION ABOUT THE DIALOGUE ABOUT THE BODY, AND NAMES AND THEN I SEE ORANGE THERE AND THEY'RE BOTH PEOPLE WHO GET ANGRY AND FEEL LOST AND ISOLATED DESPITEWANTING TO REACH OUT AND NOT KNOWING HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS WORLD THAT SEEMS SO SO BIG. AND THEY'RE SITTING THERE, TOGETHER, WATCHING THE DAMN SUN GO DOWN. THEN THE DIALOGUE. (paraphasing) "This is the last time the sun will be this beautiful" "I'm graduating, Ill have to leave behind my friends soon." Then that fucking final line "Treasure this world, won't you" I CRIEEDD I CRIEEDD MY BAWLLED MY TEARS OUT AND SHOWERED AND CRIEDD MORE I CANTTA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Shop 3

hi!

if Shop 3 is the third shop theme, what are the first and second shop themes?

Lantern is known internally as shop1.ogg, so that's probably "Shop 1".

internally, Roulxs Kaard's shop is referred to as obj_shop2, so Hip Shop is probably "Shop 2".

Sound Studio doesn't recur, so to me it makes sense if it isn't part of the numbering scheme. so;

Shop 1 :: Lantern

Shop 2 :: Hip Shop

Shop 3 :: Shop 3

okay okay but like

...Shop 3 doesn't sound like much else Toby has made before. it's really skeletal and minimal and kind of... soulless? especially when you compare it to Kris's piano arrangement. like it's minus something, like it's lost something. Toby's other most recent tracks, Abandoned Town and Underwater Town, felt the same way. they have this kind of, disquieting blankness. maybe even sevenfour had that vibe too. they feel like morning, and like feeling pretty okay.

Deltarune Chapter 5 secret boss spoilers below the cut:

One of a select few video game experiences that made me utterly speechless. This shop at this moment in the story combined with the gorgeous song that plays along with it stopped me cold and had me staring at the sunset in awe. The sheer serenity and profoundly quiet reverie contained in this single shop is incredible.

The added context of who she is only adds to the experience and makes the whole thing simply sublime. I know I sound like I'm glazing, but genuinely, this shop is a serious contender for one of the best experiences I've had as a gamer. Not sure if anyone else felt so impacted by it or not. lmk if you felt similarly.

couldn't resist arranging pink's shop theme... it's really grown on me since i first heard it and i feel like it represents mew mew's melancholy so well
