Just your local maker lesbian playing around in her shop. Decided to finally build a new workbench for all my new bench top tools (I've been meaning to make one for the last month). I made it my hip height so I can comfortably stand to use my tools, or sit on my bar stool to use them. All the materials were free to me, the best score was the wood for the table top, found it on the side of the road, the wood for the frame was left over from a wheelchair ramp build.
I made a lamp! I needed more light over my new work bench, so I did what any sensible person would do and make my own custom lamp! I couldn't put lights coming down from the ceiling, so I had to use a bench mounted light, and all the options on the internet either would have gotten in my way and weren't flexible enough or they did not fit my a e s t h e t i c. I went way over budget on this (this cost me like $50)!
I finally finished my new lamp! I spent way too much on it, but it fits my look nicely, which is industrial. All 3 lights can be individually controlled.
(Btw if you want one of your own feel free to PM me for details, I want to start making more of these!)

Wow it's amazing how much faster a computer with 499 more total gigabytes of memory is! Left is my old shop computer a Dell FX170 with one(1) GB of non upgradeable memory, running Linux Mint Xfce, the lightest version of Linux I could find from a 32 GB flash drive, because was bigger than a gig, and right my "new" Dell optiplex 3010, with a staggering 500 gb of memory running windows 10! The only reason though that I gave up and upgraded was the wifi adapter that I bought for the FX, the drivers stopped working, and idk how to Linux! So for $5 less than what I spent on the FX I bought the 3010 ($25 vs. $20)! Also the new computer has a blazing fast 3.3 GHz i3 processor vs. The 1.2 GHz Atom n270 processor!
is there a way to check how much you've spent at a certain store?
Unfortunately, there is not. In older games there was a points system called 'Nook Points' which could help the player keep track, but that particular feature was omitted from New Leaf. If you wish to upgrade your shop to the next level but aren't sure how much you've spent, it may be worth having a look through your catalogue and purchasing 10-20k Bells worth of items at a time, which would eventually add up and put you over the threshold for the next expansion.
