Tip! If you are struggling to come up with unique but natural standing poses, look at vintage sewing patterns! Modern ones work as well, but I've found that the drawings on vintage patterns feel more natural/less posed than modern photos
I do this all the time. It’s awesome.
the pose in this has always felt stiff to me, and i can’t seem to figure out why!
You have a great piece here! She’s super cute and I love the colors. Only a few adjustments are needed to fix your problem.
If you’re having problems with a pose, a good place to start is to try it out yourself! If you have access to a full-length mirror, this process is even easier. You may figure out that the reason it looks unnatural/stiff is because its uncomfortable in practice. Our brains can usually tell when a pose looks uncomfortable without us being able to understand why just by looking.
Another thing to try is to look at the area of support (the area between the points of contact). Make sure that the character’s CM (Center of Mass: usually below the navel) is contained within this area, or else they’ll surely fall over! While in the original pose her CM is technically within her area of support, it’s over the bent leg, which can only provide weak support. In doing the pose myself, I discovered that a comfortable pose places most, if not all, of the weight on the straight leg. So, her CM should be placed over her straight leg.
To add more interest to a pose, take advantage of the body’s natural curves. Even a straight leg will have curved portions at the front of the upper leg and the back of the lower leg. This creates an alternating pattern that is pleasing to the eye.

concept: when rebecca and greg get together again (for the final time!) Valencia shoots out of bed like "I just got a strange feeling... that I'm about to win a lot of money"
Ahahahahahaha GET THAT CASH, VALENCIA.

sometimes the simplest changes in how food is prepared can make all the difference. And I mean -simple-. I like strawberries, but can only eat one or two whole ones at a time before getting bored. BUT if they’re cut up into slices, i can eat them all day babey!!
this is extremely true!! Like instead of having fried chicken, have grilled chicken, or chicken with a nice healthy side! slap some different spices on it and taste all different kinds of flavors!
if you want to eat a watermelon but are bored with like slices and shit then make some melon balls! make it fun!
someone send this scalding tea to the voltron writers
