gilda, a brazilian-born designer who came to her artistic medium following a career as a photographer and costume designer, is refining comfort by giving it elegance and glamour. the cotton weave is processed with unusual materials such as coal, copper and gypsum on silicon. many pieces are fabricated by using beeswax to create relief prints in an abundance of colors which change from year to year. 

this season she used rust and pink cloudy tones, contrasted with stark white on black, in addition to foiled silver, copper and navy. you will find that the pieces are perfect for layering: long tank tops under her “trapeze” swing tees, or her own short or long sleeved tees layered over maxi or short tank dresses of her design in complimentary patterns.
