I've seen on inu inu's site they have a plus size section. I've ordered from there before, it fit that's all good and well. But since I've read your posts I looked on aliexpress and I could find the items just not plus size. Do you know why that is or am I searching wrong?
as inu inu doesn’t have like, a specific plus sized section for me to easily go at and see what all they’ve placed in that category, it’s a bit harder for me to see everything they offer at once to assess the problem accurately, but here are some of the issues you might be running into:
inu inu has original products produced for them that are exclusively sold on their website. there aren’t many of them, but there are enough that i feel like this could be the issue you’re running into. i really wish that they had these things listed out because an original line is smth to be proud of! but…it would probably be disadvantageous since a lot of their more popular items are not exclusives, lol. it’s pretty easy to tell the difference with 90% of their products, and the majority of their items are not originals. most of the things that Are inuinu originals are their more simple pieces like their tshirts or sweatshirts. items with basic silhouettes, with images you’ve seen on tumblr that have either been lifted wholesale or traced and slightly altered, items that appear to be very poorly photoshopped, or items with graphics primarily appearing on the chest in a typical printing area for a tshirt are likely in-house inuinu items. items that are more complex in terms of construction/materials, that have all over prints, detailed items like jackets, or items that are not sweatshirts and tees like skirts or socks, are all sourced products. those sourced products are what you are likely to find on aliexpress. you can also sometimes tell if an item uses vastly different model photography than what they typically post on their instagram.
different aliexpress listings have different size ranges–you can sometimes find the same tshirt just as a one-size listing, but other places have S-L, and you could find some items that have plus sizes listed from XS - XXL, and others that might list an item as having like a huge range of extended items, sometimes up to a Chinese 8L (about an american 3/4X). the search results when you search by image generally give you a long list, and so you might have to just scroll through a lot before finding one that has your size. it also might just have sizes listed in terms of measurements rather than american sizes–inu inu has quite a few items that they tout as “plus size friendly” that would never be actually listed as plus sized on aliexpress because things are often listed as free size instead.
some items might still be from aliexpress, but inu inu could have contacted the seller and may be getting custom sized pieces to resell. some sellers on aliexpress are factory direct, and individuals are also able to give them measurements and order custom sized garments through them–not just shops with wholesale items. you can look through an item’s listing or ask a seller to find out more information to see if that’s an option.
since inu inu has claimed a lot of aliexpress items as being their own original designs (read my initial review for more details on this) various chinese based wholesellers HAVE actually ripped off several inu inu designs, within the past few months. you might be seeing an inu inu original that is a chinese knock off being manufactured in chinese sizes, but this would only apply to their most popular original designs, and only to the tshirts that i’ve described earlier.
if you cared about getting something but didn’t want to continue to support inu inu and wanted to link me a specific item for me to see if i can find it, i’m happy to help with that sort of thing. i know i make the same offer all the time (for various reasons, not just this one) but i really do mean it! i’m here to help.
also–since ppl are probably going to be confused about this (i can already imagine the comments abt it lmfao) sourcing products from other places or reselling from aliexpress is NOT bad and is NOT why i have an issue with inu inu. it is also not ALWAYS bad when retail shops/resellers mark up a product or charge extra, but i feel that customers SHOULD be questioning profit margins that are often 200-300% of the cost of the item itself, and that this particular shop has participated in some ultra shady behavior (including hiring employees that they never pay!!!! bad shit!). before asking me my problem with the shop, i suggest first reading my inu inu review/exposé, and going through my inu inu tag.
