Why shore diving feels more relaxed

Boat dives are exciting, but shore diving has a completely different rhythm.

There’s no engine noise, no waiting at sea, and no rush to enter the water together. You gear up on the beach, walk in slowly, and begin the dive at your own pace.

That’s probably why so many divers enjoy places like Tulamben and Amed. The entry is simple, and the atmosphere feels calm from the very beginning. You spend less time organizing logistics and more time underwater.

I started appreciating shore diving more after a few relaxed dives on Bali’s east coast. Later, I found this guide about diving in Tulamben that explains why the area became so popular for easy access diving.

Sometimes, simplicity is exactly what makes a dive memorable.
